There is so much wrong with IMAX theater’s decision to not show the film “Volcanoes of the Deep Sea” because of its mention of evolution, that I just decided to stop going to IMAX theaters while this policy continues. Is there no room for competing viewpoints? Now a movie theater has to take it upon itself to decide which messages are allowed and which are not, on the basis of the supposed religious beliefs of its viewers? Are these beliefs so fragile that people cannot stand to see a film mention an opposing viewpoint in fear of their whole world collapsing?
