I am so excited for the premier of Buddy, the story of our long running intrepid mayor Vincent “Buddy” Cianci. I love this convicted convict mayor who put cigars out on the hands of his ex-wife’s boyfriend with the Chief of Police and turned the hell hole of Providence in the 80s into the beautiful city it is today.

“Alan Moore knows the Score” – to quote Pop Will Eat Itself.

Anyway, the trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of his brilliant V for Vendetta – which I have only just recently read – is up. I would like to hope they won’t screw this one up. V looks fantastic – but Natalie Portman… I don’t know how that will work out.

La Coquette runs into the Tour de France:

“As the second batch of cyclists passes, a little American girl to her Lacrosse coach-esque mother:
‘We’re clapping for them so they wont feel bad for losing?'”

Always a good read on a Monday. Apparently its also a classic rock Monday – judging by the office audio stream so far.

And. Its still too hot out here. I wish I had a nice wine cellar to retreat to. Or a grotto. Now that’s fucking living.

The Central Artery Tunnel in Boston is getting its leaks patched – over 191 defects in the slurry walls – and the contractors will be footing the bill. Only a few of the defects were considered major, but still the total bill will add up to around 6 million dollars.
