This reminds me of my time working with the kids at Long Lane School in CT, and why I make and teach art in the first place. I just heard about an interesting PBS dcoumentary “What I Want My Words To Do To You” which tells about women in prison who participated in Eve Ensler’s writing workshops. +++ Unfortunately, LA’s PBS stations don’t seem to have it scheduled.
