New York architects LTL (Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis) gave a lecture here at SCI-Arc last night, and I must say it was refreshing to see work produced with and interest in working within the profession and language of architecture in order to find new expressions and to test what architecture can do. Their work is carefully thought out, beautifully represented, and extremely clever. They are certainly not lacking a sense of humor. All of this adds up to make them one of my new favorite firms. Go take a look at some of their work online at LTL , especially the New Suburbanism project, a smart take on how to use sprawl instead of just endlessly railing against it.
